Martin Clouthier, M.Sc., P.Eng., specializes in risk assessment of potentially severe accidents, including fires, dust and gas explosions, and dispersion of toxic release. His career spans more than twenty-three years and has been focused on loss prevention in the process industries. He has conducted hundreds of formal assessments aimed at identifying, quantifying, and reducing the risk of major accidents at industrial facilities internationally.

Mr. Clouthier is an expert in hazards, prevention, and mitigation of industrial explosions. He is responsible for the supervision and management of staff engineers. He provides oversight and direction for the JENSEN HUGHES dust explosion and flammability laboratory, including applied research programs. He has specific expertise in engineering and technical services to address key design and operating concerns for a broad base of process safety areas, including: process hazards analysis, fire protection engineering, chemical process safety, and loss prevention engineering.

Martin provides his clients with specialized hazard analyses of material properties, and operational hazards, including development of material testing strategies. He employs the most advanced methodologies and tools to predict potential consequences, analyze risk, and design prevention and mitigation systems for catastrophic events.
